Why True Tone Studios exists

It started with one conversation.

To say this all began with an accidental elective placement in high school is a gross understatement. True Tone Studios was really created because of one conversation I had with a widow — a good friend of mine.

We talked about his wedding: what he loved about that day, and what he looks back on now. He'd only hired a photographer, so photos are all he has left to commemorate his wife. He told me that looking back now, he'd rather be able to watch a film of her than look through photos again.

That conversation is the reason True Tone Studios exists — so that no one else has to feel that. So that everyone gets the chance to be immersed again in the laughter and the fun, not just for tomorrow, but for forty years from now.

Every couple has their own rhythm, their own background, their own story. My mission isn't to freeze each moment through photos — it's to capture and preserve them through film. To let you relive how it felt: the laughter, the hearts, the emotions that pass in an instant.

How we work

Four things we bring to every wedding.

Visual storytelling

From the ceremony and first dance to the little moments happening throughout the day, capturing your celebration as it happens. Footage is then professionally edited into a polished film for viewing, sharing, and reliving.

Cinematic coverage

Filming in a variety of perspectives, with multiple camera coverage, providing immersive and intentional full day capturing. From the big moments to the dynamic details.

Live audio

Along with filming, we also capture live audio from the important moments throughout the day. All those vows, speeches, toasts, and other key moments are preserved. Tying and connecting the emotions that went along with them.

Wrapping up

Afterwards, we seize the moments that actually carry the day within the editing process. Finalizing the process through professional editing, color grading, and sharing through a digital delivery.

Do you travel?+

Absolutely! We are based in Southern California and happily travel. Fees may apply depending on location and will always be discussed with you upfront.

How long is the delivery time?+

This depends on the season. But most couples can expect to receive their first short reel content within 1-2 weeks, any further content produced will result in longer times.

Do you work with photographers?+

Of course, whether it be one of our photographers, or another contractor. We work to make sure your day flows smooth while capturing all meaningful moments together!

Can we choose the music selection?+

Definitely! You are welcome to share your music preferences and the overall feel you are hoping for. Please know that certain song preferences may not be suitable for sharing and posting online do to content restrictions or copyrights.

What if it rains?+

We get it! Unexpected things happen all the time! Some of the most beautiful moments happen in unexpected weather. We will always try to adapt to such conditions, and will communicate further if harsh conditions occur.

How do we reserve our date?+

Your date is officially reserved once we have come to an agreement of the workflow. After that, the date is all yours!

What if we need to postpone?+

No worries there! All couples are entitled to rescheduling their date whenever needed. Just keep in touch!

How long is the full wedding highlight film?+

Each film is unique, but the final length depends on the story your day tells. (keep it exciting!)
